“coming home” is coming to PROXY
A special digital art installation is coming to PROXY this September, coming home.
Produced by Lava Mae and ZERO1, coming home is an immersive augmented reality + audio experience that is designed to connect stories of houselessness and SF neighbors to each other. It invites viewers to immerse themselves in a choice of eight life-size virtual scenes from across SF neighborhoods, meet a full range of their houseless neighbors, and hear their stories from life on the street to holding a job, as a student or an elder, and from the point of view of those who have successfully moved beyond what is, a temporary situation. coming home encourages San Franciscans to experience how we are all more alike than we are different.
Experience coming home at PROXY from September 7 – 16. The installation is accessible 24/7, but is best viewed on weekdays from 4pm – 9pm and weekends from 1pm – 9pm.
